We're a Toyota shop that builds engines,
not an engine shop that builds 22re's.
We were doing this long before this was even a business. Ken bought an original Mojave pickup back in 1987 and put 600,000 Kilometers on it driving all over British Columbia.
Our goal has always been to build the best 22re engines available anywhere and create a community of awesome Toyota enthusiasts. It's our attention to details and love for this craft that sets us a part. This hobby shop turned engine performance shop is true Vancouver Island grass roots beginnings, and we intend to stay to true to those roots and always put people first.
Our sales process is different than most because we like to get to know each of our customers and hear about their builds and what they're doing. Firstly because we're genuinely curious about the people
who like us, want to keep these old trucks on the road; and secondly because we want to know for
sure that we're delivering the best engine suited for their specific needs.
Ken also has a keen interest in woodworking, being a master carpenter by trade. On his road trips he reclaims old and derelict wood pieces and turns them into one of a kind picture frames, tables and art pieces.
